It’s not the cold air by itself that is generating you sick - it's to do with viruses and moisture. Scientists in Wales also declare that air-conditioners “may contribute in some modest method to respiratory infection. They extract moisture in the air, which could dry out the protective mucus that lines the nostrils, making it possible for viruses a greater likelihood to become set up in the nose.”
