Earth just had a close call with an asteroid! According to ABC Reports , a bus-sized asteroid zipped past earth today, missing us by just 7,600 miles. The situation of nearest approach for the asteroid, which is being called Asteroid 2011 MD, was between the southern end of SA and Antarctica.
